Description
The UC206W line array loudspeaker incorporates 3 acoustic channels and operates in bi-amplification. The low-midrange section comprises two 6.5" drivers with compression loading.
The midrange/treble section is a coaxial Neodymium 5" + 1" motor loaded by an exclusive APG ISOTOP15™ waveguide. The APG Isotop acoustic load consists of a isophase active horn whose impedance matching and and the resulting compression achieve levels of efficiency comparable to those of traditional compression chambers, but with a bandwidth and power handling.
The 5" driver is employed over an extended midrange frequency range (450 Hz - 5 kHz), which unique sound reproduction quality in the vocal range, guaranteed with very low levels of distortion. The compression driver provides great finesse down to 20 kHz. The design of the front horn integrates the compression and mechanical protection functions of the 6.5" drivers, as well as uniform directivity control for all acoustic sections, either wide-aperture for the UC206W or narrow-aperture for the UC206N. The hook system and the variety of mechanical accessories provide unlimited mechanical modularity, whether for both free-standing and wall-mounted installations.
