Description
The APG iX15-O is a two-way coaxial full-range loudspeaker. The bass section is entrusted to a 15" long-expansion driver whose neodymium magnet motor uses proprietary forced ventilation technology to reduce the losses inherent in thermal compression.
The high end of the spectrum is reproduced by a 1.4" coaxially integrated compression driver perfectly aligned with the bass driver. The result is a particularly linear phase response. This particular assembly, which APG has been using since 1990, gives the iX15-O a conical 90° acoustic opening that is maintained beyond 10kHz. The APG iX15-O loudspeaker features an anti-diffraction baffle that gives it excellent phase linearity. The result is an almost constant conical directivity. The iX15 generates a particularly wide sound level and particularly wide bass response. The result is highly accurate reproduction quality in both vocal and musical applications. The iX15-O has an impedance of 8 ohms. It can also be integrated into 70/100V line systems, thanks to an optional 200W transformer (option T200).
Ergonomic, the iX15-O offers all the functions and options required for fixed installation outdoor: attractive trapezoidal format, Speakon-type connectors, moisture-resistant surface treatment that allows water to run off. M8 metal inserts allow it to be mounted using a range of accessories for horizontal, vertical or tilt adjustment.
