Description
The APG iX12 is a two-way coaxial full-range loudspeaker. The bass section is entrusted to a 12" bass-reflex loaded driver, providing a particularly wide bass response for the size of the speaker.
The high end of the spectrum is reproduced by a coaxially integrated 1.4" compression driver, which is perfectly aligned with the bass woofer, resulting in a particularly linear phase response. This particular arrangement, used by APG since 1990, gives the iX12 an acoustic opening of 90° that is maintained beyond 10kHz. The APG iX12 features an anti-diffraction baffle that gives it excellent phase linearity. The result is an almost constant conical directivity. The iX12 is characterised by its high SPL/size ratio and a particularly wide bass response in the low frequency range, which provides a highly accurate sound reproduction in both vocal and musical applications. The iX12 has an impedance of 8 ohm. It can also be integrated into 70/100V line systems using an optional 100W or 200W transformer (option T100/T200).
Ergonomic, the iX12 offers all the functions and options required for fixed indoor installation: trapezoidal format, Speakon-type connectors and a stand base. M8 metal inserts enable it to be mounted using a range of accessories for horizontal, vertical or tilt adjustment. Reference IX12W is the white version. The iX12 can also be customised in colour - IX12COL.
