Alex Hills chose CHAUVET Professional lighting fixtures for the Bloody Hawk Stadium Show 2025 & Off The Hook Festival 2025 projects

For two of the most talked-about events of 2025, the Bloody Hawk Stadium Show 2025 (June 21) and the Off The Hook Festival (September 12 & 13), lighting designer Alex Hills chose CHAUVET Professional equipment to deliver stunning visual effects.

The Bloody Hawk Stadium Show 2025 equipment included 78 × Color STRIKE M, while the Off The Hook Festival 2025 used 28 × COLORado PXL Bar 16 and 32 × Maverick Storm 1 Flex.

Lighting Designer Alex Hills, who was responsible for the lighting design, commented on his experience and the performance of the fixtures:

"For the 2025 projects, I used Color STRIKE M, COLORado PXL Bar 16, and Maverick Storm 1 Flex. The Color STRIKE M provided the necessary energy with simultaneous wash and strobe capabilities. The Colorado PXL 16 offered creativity with pixel mapping and clean color surfaces. The Maverick Storm 1 Flex stood out for their zoom flexibility and reliability in outdoor environments.

The selection was based on the needs of the venues and the scale of the performances. I needed fixtures that would provide powerful output, be IP rated, and be versatile. This combination allowed me to cover everything from dynamic scenes to atmospheric moments with a single set of tools.

The intensity and colors remain the same across all fixtures, ensuring complete consistency in the image. The IP Rating offers peace of mind for any outdoor production. The profiles are available on all consoles and work flawlessly, making setup a breeze.

My collaboration with CHAUVET was immediate and effective. The technical support and availability of their team made the process simpler and more efficient. It is important for a designer to know that they have a company behind them that supports their projects at every stage.

For large projects, I need absolute certainty about the performance of the fixtures. CHAUVET gives me that confidence, both in terms of quality and reliability. This allows me to focus on the creative aspect without worrying about technical limitations.

Time is always limited on such large projects, and the pressure is intense. When a fixture or system allows me to achieve complex effects quickly and easily, that is a decisive factor in my choice. It means I can devote more time to creativity and less to managing technical details.

Preparation with CHAUVET's fixtures is much more straightforward. In Capture, which I use for Pre-Viz, the fixtures perform exactly as they would on stage, thanks to accurate photometric data and consistency between them. I know in advance what I'm going to get live because I've already seen it in the digital environment. This significantly reduces programming and testing time; only a few adjustments to the positions are needed, and the show is ready."
