The UC118i subwoofer has been designed to reproduce infra bass in either a floor-standing or wall-mounted configuration. The loudspeaker's band-pass load provides a gain of of 3dB in the useful band and a reduction in the volume of the loudspeaker compared to direct radiation loading.
The 18" forced-ventilation neodymium driver was selected for its excellent diaphragm retention and its thermal compression-reducing properties. The result is efficiency in a compact enclosure that's easy to integrate. Designed for integration, the UC118i is easy to move thanks to its integrated handles and its optional castor tray. The UC118i is equipped with an integrated mounting system and optional coupling elements (ELK) that enable clusters of up to 3 speakers to be set up in an omnidirectional or cardioid configuration. Aligned with the centre of gravity of the loudspeaker, the mounting systems enable clusters are stable and perfectly vertical. They are suspended using the appropriate bumper (EBK).
The 2 SPEAKON connectors at the rear of the unit enable several speakers on the same amplifier channel, and the 2 SPEAKON connectors on the front SPEAKON connectors on the front panel make it easy to set up cardioid configurations. The UC118i requires a digital processor or an amplifier with an APG integrated processor.
